Unicorns and How to Hunt Them paperback

I’m not really known for shameless commercialism. Quite the opposite. The blog is non-commercial: there are no sponsored posts, no advertising. So I hope you’ll forgive me if I share my excitement at the fact I’ve brought out my first paperback today!

Unicorns and How to Hunt Them has been available on Kindle for a year and a half, but my wish to tweak and perfect, to add content, to fill with cartoon illustrations, to have a drop-dead gorgeous cover – has held me back from bringing out the goods. And don’t we all just love the feeling of something hard in our hands?

Today, at long last, I’ve finally got it into print- I haven’t even seen it in the flesh yet, but I’m very excited. There’s nothing quite like the buzz of publishing a real book. And I’m also really honoured to have been able to take a snapshot in time of the thoughts and lives of such wonderful people.

The kink scene, and to a large extent much of the swing scene, are awesome people. They really are. They are open, they are fun, they are so varied in personality, lives, thoughts and sexualities, that there is a wonderful cornucopia of vibrant colour just beneath the grey surface of London. They are my community, my best teachers and my solace. Their words and journeys have special meaning, and I am so happy to be able to share them with you.

Unicorns and How to Hunt Them is a dry, tongue-in-cheek psychological treatise on how to master-puppeteer those around you into fulfilling your sexual fantasies. It’s a guide that tells you how to work the tools at your disposal, to get the best experience out of the swinger lifestyle and sex party scene.

It tells you all you need to know in one afternoon, to take you from a baby duckling, wide-eyes and new, striking out and wasting time, into a brutally efficient predator. And hopefully a little further than that, into having some insight as to why those you are hunting are actually the coolest people you’ll ever meet.

The wonderful unicorns I’ve interviewed have shared their thoughts, feelings and allowed you judgement-free insight into the world of what makes them tick. You enter a unicorn through her mind. Always.

The couples and single men have shared their journeys: their mistakes, their top tips, their stories about how they went from faltering failures into sultans of swing.

And I, your gracious and somewhat sarcastic, sociopathic narrator, have condensed down all you need to know to stop wasting your time endlessly on apps looking for hot bisexual women, and start living the highlife preserved for those who know how to do it right.

Happy hunting, baby ducklings. I’ve three more books in the pipeline, so time to start your homework.

Happy hunting xx
