What is ZDR?
ZDR is my name as an adult performer & model (Zara DuRose) & my business brand, which includes ZDR Events!
ZDR Events are kinky parties based in London & Brighton.
How did the idea for ZDR events get started?
The first event I ran was back in 2015, which was a launch party for my original porn production website, we held it with the vision of promoting the site & getting friends & industry professionals together for a good time!
The party was a success & straight after people were asking when the next one was! I never ‘intended’ to do regular events – but I’d been involved in the lifestyle & on the fetish club scene for some time & after some thought, I wanted to offer something new for the kinky community!
What can people expect the experience at ZDR parties to be like?
The London & Brighton events have a different feel to them – most of the London nights are more club nights with shows, dancing, playrooms etc – apart from our ZDR Wonderland event this summer (3-4th August) which will beheld in a beautiful mansion in SE London, this event will run from midday & have workshops, stalls & accommodation at the property – the last time we had an event like this was 2018 in Coventry & we can’t wait to bring it back!
The Brighton parties are held at the Hotel Pelirocco where we have it all to ourselves. There’s performances & playrooms, cocktail bar & the hotel rooms are available for our guests to book. These parties have more of a kinky house party vibe.
What is the crowd at ZDR going to be like?
We have always had a fantastic mix of people at ZDR events, super friendly & welcoming. Theres a mix of couples, singles & groups that come together. A wonderful mix of backgrounds & genders, so open to everyone!
What should people wear and bring for ZDR?
We often get a lot of people asking about our dress code at ZDR events & we know that it can be intimidating for newbies wanting to explore the kink scene. It’s important for us to create an environment where all our guests are feeling comfortable (& confident) in what they wear & not have to worry about feeling out of place.
Of course, we encourage guests to dress for the themes (& many often do!) but this isn’t mandatory. Unlike some other fetish events, we have a more relaxed dress code in the sense that you don’t HAVE to wear full fetish gear, plus we also allow smart suits, cocktail dresses & alternative fashion. So there’s no need to break the bank buying an outfit you may not wear again (or feel comfortable in). The simple rule is make an effort – so no jeans/trainers/scruffy outfits/t-shirts, etc.
We have put together a Pinterest page where we have lots of suggestions for our guests for the themes & general ideas! Bringing your own kink kit is absolutely fine.. We just don’t allow wax/messy play.
Who is behind ZDR and what are their stories?
Well, it’s just me that runs everything for the events when it comes to planning & promo. I have a fantastic team who work for me on the nights, my husband David helps with the stage management. On the door & floating around to help during the event we have Eeeve, Nadine, Klara, Simone, Beth, Belle & Linda who are good friends & involved in the kink scene. Some of them also work at other fetish events also (TG, F&B, etc).
We then have the dungeon monitor team who are all trained for safety & experienced in BDSM practices. They are there to keep an eye on the play that’s taking place to ensure everyone is (mis)behaving appropriately! And to approach with any concerns. All staff are visible with gold ZDR sashes throughout the events.
What is the story of Zara DuRose?
I’ve been in the adult industry since 2012 & have filmed for many companies like Brazzers, Fake Taxi, DDF, English Mansion & many others over the years. I’ve won multiple awards for my work & now create content for my fan pages & occasionally shoot with other productions when possible.
As well as being involved in the filming side of things I also worked as a dominatrix for a number of years, but now tend to do more girlfriend experience meets.
I love having a variation of projects to flit between, so I have the parties, do fetish photo shoots, have a new range of latex care products (soon lubricants also) & will also be launching ZDR branded gin in the summer at Wonderland… So lots always going on in the world of ZDR!
Is the event LGBT friendly?
Yes absolutely, we are open & welcoming to everyone! There’s no gender based pricing & we treat everyone equally (as it should be!)
What amazing things can I expect to see at ZDR?
The music is usually a mix of dance, EDM, etc – with some occasional 80’s & alternative tracks thrown in. Not techno/D&B heavy. Something for everyone, or so we hope!
The shows vary depending on the venue, sometimes walkabout/interactive & also stage shows which can be kinky/bizarre/glamorous or burlesque. We always have the line-up listed on the event pages. Sometimes we have rope areas at the events where guests can be tied by professional riggers & occasionally workshops or creative activities.
Depending on the venue people can get up to anything they like in the playrooms/dungeon areas, as long as it’s consensual! Our monitors are always there to keep an eye on safety & behaviour. The benches & kink equipment is usually very popular & so are the bedroom areas when we have them available.
The fun is kept for the playrooms, so no nakedness/play outside in public areas. We don’t allow people to lurk around there watching if they aren’t invited to do so by those enjoying themselves there.
What security and accommodations for self care are in place at ZDR events?
Security & making sure our guests are safe is obviously important!
As well as the venue security (which varies between venues) I always have Mick on the door who is SIA trained & familiar with our scene. He’s a familiar face for our regular guests when we don’t always use the same venue in London.
Our staff are always available & visible for any issues that may arise (although we don’t tend to have problems with guest behaviour) & will always be happy to be approached to speak to for any concerns. The monitors can advise for care & safety in the playrooms & help in any way they can.
What rules are in place at ZDR?
Our rules can be viewed on our website & we always have signage visible at the venues.

Is it a good place to go as a single woman/man/NB?
Yes, we have a lot of singles who come as well as couples, etc. Anyone is welcome! For newbies (& singles) at the next event we are arranging a get together at the beginning of the night (21:00-22:00) where you can all meet, & be shown around the venue & made aware of our play rules & ask any questions!
Is it a swinger event, kink event or more of a dance party?
We use the term Kinky Party for ZDR events, so it’s not catered just towards swingers or hardcore fetishes – but a nice mix of the two.
The Gods & Monsters event has a big dance area, for those who want to enjoy the music!
